It was suggested to me that if I want a particular candidate to be assured of a full term vs. a one year fill-in term that I ONLY vote for that person. Since all candidates will be appointed to the board, it will help someone I support to get a full term. So I am going to only submit ONE vote for a candidate I know well and support.

I am a relative newcomer to SCA, only 2 years of living in this wonderful community. Not unlike big government (city / state / federal), the lack of transparency re. our small BOD is disappointing. Seriously, it’s five local residents managing a 7,100 home community with residents from a pretty common demographic. The board isn’t overseeing a…[Read more]

Can someone please privately message me and let me know who this upstart is and where he posts? I am fairly new to Anthem (2 years ) and live in SCA. We love SCA and want the best governance and leadership we can have.
This election will be the first one we’ve been involved in and my wife and I want to be well informed voters. Admittedly, I…[Read more]

Sounds much like a bit of a “Star Chamber” operating behind closed doors. As a fairly new SCA homeowner I am concerned the more and more I hear that the SCA BOD operates so much out of the “sunshine” and when we bought we didn’t even know about the other regional “board” or association the the SCA HOA belongs to and that, apparently, we pay (via…[Read more]

I would definitely support Mr. Forrest Fetherolf for election to the BOD. My wife and I moved to SCA one week before the pandemic, we arrived to our new home on Valentine’s Day 2020. Mr. Fetherolf was one of the first persons we me as everyone else was in isolation mode. We had some new homeowner things pop up in our new home and he was…[Read more]

We moved to SCA last year so we never saw a restaurant at the center. I am curious as to why the proposal calls for the Buckman’s folks to run it. Here are my questions:
1. If one of the 2 restaurants (Buckman’s / SCA) is short staffed, are there assurances that staff won’t be pulled from the other location?
2. Will the menus and pricing be…[Read more] -

I have also noticed that there are many street signs now obscured by common area / island / etc. trees that have not been trimmed. Additionally, lawn areas at the entrances to some villages, usually where the village name wall is, are not being reseeded or patched in dry areas or where there is dog damage.
A company getting a sweet contract to do…[Read more]

Our friends bought a home in Anthem, Arizona which I believe is also a Del Webb development. When they moved in 8 or so years ago there were no fenced in dog parks. Homeowners presented a petition and otherwise lobbied the HOA / BOD and they got their dog park.
I am hoping, with all the dog owners in SCA, that a movement can be started and our…[Read more]
