    Mr. Anderson’s continued assertion that marketing research for a restaurant at SCA would cost as much as $5,000 and would produce no more information than he had already is shockingly uninformed. As a former independent marketing researcher for the restaurant industry I can safely say $5,000 would buy you garbage. The SCA should expect real, usable research to cost in a range of $20,000-$30,000, and produce statistically significant and actionable results. This may seem like a lot of money, but compare that to $300,000 and up loses every year from a poorly planned operation. Full disclosure: I am happily retired and have no interest in being hired for such a project. I’d volunteer to work with any of my neighbors and friends who are serious about this.
