After all of the calls and email I received while investigating some of the acute care and rehabilitation facilities, I received the following email, please read and if you agree, as I do that this important bill should pass this legislative session, please take a few moments to click the link below and share your comments with our “law makers.”

    Hi Rana,

I have a lot to say about deficiencies and mistreatment I’ve documented.

But something I think is of the UTMOST importance is that the public is educated to place cameras in loved ones room!!

People are seeking help for loved ones and largely want to believe the glossy sales brochures and friendly (commission based) salespeople. They don’t consider the ugly truth much in their time of need when this sunny solution and puppy dog tails are in front of them.

AB202 just passed senate committee work session and is in due process which should become law effective 10/1/2023.  This mandates that facilities allow people to have cameras (details in bill) This is only one step to hold these places accountable. The following is the link to comment on this bill before it arrives on the senate and assembly floor for a vote.

Please make this a regular recurring information notice so more people take note.
