Rana GoodmanKeymasterThe following notice was included in the Community Chronicles prior to the association mailing of our ballots, have you received yours?
I have not and the office will not give me one because they claim I signed up for electronic voting. If I did, I don’t remember.
I asked Debbie, at the office to cancel that option since I have not, and will not use it. She still refused to give me a ballot, because, she said, “that would give me two chances to vote and that is not allowed”.
I guess that means my right to vote is being denied me since no one can, or WILL cancel the electronic option I have no recall of opting in for. The Chronicle stated that the electronic ballot would arrive in our mailboxes March 22nd! Really? then where is mine?
The following is from the SCA Chronicle just prior to the ballots being mailed:
Paper ballots: Ballots were mailed to each resident homeowner on March 21, 2025. Complete your ballot choices and either mail your secret and secure ballot by return envelope or place your secure ballot in the designated receptacles in each SCA center before April 29, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. **There are 2 ballots to complete, both get returned in the secret envelope.
Electronic Voting
This year homeowners were given the option to vote electronically in upcoming SCA elections. The enrollment for this option ended in early March. Homeowners who have opted-in will receive their electronic voting ballot at midnight, Saturday morning, March 22, 2025. While homeowners may opt out later if needed, (really, Debbie refused to allow me that right!).…. we hope everyone has taken advantage of this convenient option.**Replacement ballots or election material can be obtained by contacting the Administration Office during normal business hours.
Today, 3/27/2025 David Berman posted the following on his blog:
“Several months ago, the mandatory age-restricted survey most of us filled out and returned contained an unrelated item that may have slipped by some members without them being aware of its impact.
It definitely slipped by me.
The survey form resulted in members being automatically enrolled in ONLINE Board of Directors election voting if they did not check off a box to indicate that they wished to opt out of online voting.
I didn’t pay attention to this box, so when I inquired on Wednesday (March 26) about not yet having received our election package in the mail, I was told -surprise, surprise- that I had opted in for electronic voting.”
