I just wanted to send out a note thanking the many, many readers and Valley residents that have emailed both Rana and myself telling us to watch the Netflix film, “I Care A Lot.”
Knowing that they remember our work in guardianship reform and took to heart what we said in our seminars that we held all over the Las Vegas Valley means so much to both of us.
The worst part about the movie, is that everything the private guardian did in the first 45 minutes was absolutely, but sadly spot-on.

I’m writing to inform you about a Netflix movie that I think you and Rana would find very relevant. It is described as a dark, comic satire about a guardianship scammer. If you subscribe to Netflix, I would recommend “I Care a Lot.” An ironic title, for sure.
I have read all the articles in the Vegas Voice about the inherent problems of court appointed guardians in Las Vegas. I know Rana has been passionate in her effort to shine a light on this injustice to our most vulnerable senior citizens.
I know it is not a laughing matter, but this movie highlights the depravity of those scammers who prey on the elderly with the complicit help of doctors and judges.
When I was watching the movie, I couldn’t help but think of Rana and her dedication to this cause.
Thank you for the Vegas Voice. I look forward to reading it every month.
