Hello Big Sky NW participants.
Here is our latest NW newsletter. No real problems mentioned, but there are QR codes to be aware of.
Remember to say “Hello” to your visiting block captains this month as well as in October–they will be swinging by to verify your current phone numbers and email addresses.
Some will be reaching out with an actual knock on your door or they may email or text or, who knows, all three methods. If you see them, give them a pat on the back and maybe some cookies and water–their volunteer efforts to keep all of us up-to-date and involved in our community are deeply appreciated.
And if you would like to assist in this role, please contact me or leave a note with your block captain. Yes, it’s “school time” again, so slow down and keep a very watchful eye out for the little ones.

November 26 Newsletter

JOIN THE NWP LEADERSHIP TEAM: The NWP Leadership Team (LT) essentially functions as a Board of Directors, managing all of the NWP programs, such as communications (Newsletter, Spirit article, Chronicles, flyers, crime alerts, etc.), events, and crime reporting and analysis. It is currently operating with only five of the designated nine members. Members have moved away, “aged out”, or had to leave the LT for other reasons.
We need new LT members to continue providing residents with information on keeping SCA safe, as we work with Henderson PD. If you are interested, or if you know someone who may be interested in joining the SCA NWP Leadership Team, please contact us at the phone or email shown below. You’ll enjoy the experience of learning about how to keep SCA residents safe and secure.
SAVE THE DATE! All Neighborhood Watch Facilitators and Block Captains are invited to the Neighborhood Watch Volunteer Recognition Event on Wednesday, October 28, at 10:00 a.m. in the SCA Center Grand Ballroom.
Join fellow volunteers for light refreshments and a special guest speaker, Officer Alex Alcantara of the Henderson Police Department. The program will include updates from NWP Leadership, distribution of new Neighborhood Watch materials, a Q&A session, and more. Come celebrate the important work you do for our community!

WEBSITE: We are excited to announce that a new NWP website is coming later this year, providing an easier way to stay informed and keep your household’s contact information up to date. We will share more details and account activation instructions as the launch date approaches
SCA CRIME REMAINS LOW: In 2026 we had three burglaries and one attempted burglary. That remains below the average of 8 burglaries annually in 2023-2024-2025. For reference, we averaged 24 burglaries in 2018-2022.
SPIRIT ARTICLES: Be sure to read the Neighborhood Watch articles in the Spirit magazine each month (on page 26). They contain a wealth of information on safety and security in the Sun City Anthem community.
