    Response From SCA re: Antisemitism

    By Dan Roberts

“They’re not.” That’s the answer to the article asked by Sun City Anthem resident (and fellow Vegas Voice columnist) Liz Breier.

Liz asked: “Why Are We Tolerating Antisemitism in Sun City Anthem?” I am very pleased (and relived) that our SCA Management/Board of Directors, after looking in the matter, swiftly and decisively made the proper determination.

Such decision makes clear that our community will not tolerate any form of hate/antisemitism. While my PILL (partner in love & life) and I have had our disagreements with SCA management/Board, let’s give credit when credit is due.

And for that (along with the many others who submitted their outrage as well) we say, “thank you.”

I am beyond grateful to know that I live in a community that respects all its residents.  The fact that there was a symbol worn that many of us found offensive was enough for the Board of Directors and Management to take action.  I am relieved to say that I no longer expect to see symbols of antisemitism worn in our common areas. Thank you to all who listened and took action.
