KeymasterWord has it that many residents have just about had their fill of the way our SCA board of directors, or rather the board majority has allowed the general manager to make policy rather than follow policy made by the board. We have been told that a recall petition has been drafted and is getting signatures for the removal of Rex Weddle, Tom Nisson, Bob Burch and Aletta Waterhouse. There is another, a Petition in a “Voice of a Vote of No Confidence” in General Manager Sandy Seddon. The cover page lists all of the reasons that the drafters believe these people have failed in their duties to the community.
It should be noted that Nevada Revised Statutes forbids any interference with the collection of signatures of a recall. 10% or 715 signatures are required to bring the required to bring the issue to a VOTE. Then 35% of the residents voting to remove will decide. There is no time limit on gathering these signatures, and time will tell if this will come to pass.
Several years ago Anthem Country Club was successful in a recall of all but one member of their board, perhaps there is indeed that proverbial “straw that broke the camel’s back,” I wonder if SCA has reached theirs?
We suggest you attend the Board meeting at 1:30 in the Delaware Room at Anthem Center today, it may prove to be very important and I understand petitions may be available for signing.

ParticipantIs the board meeting open to any SCA member.?

KeymasterBrad:
Absolutely. This could be a very important meeting for all homeowners and for the future of this community. The more people that are there, the stronger the message that will be sent to the board as well as the general manager and her underlings.

ParticipantPlease accept my vote of “No Confidence” and the removal of Rex Weddle, Tom Nisson, Bob Burch and Aletta Waterhouse.
Also include in the Petition in a “Voice of a Vote of “No Confidence” in General Manager Sandy Seddon.
Far to much waste and miss management has occurred during their reign while acting a board members.

KeymasterMarty:
Only one owner per household can sign, something people do not understand. The petitions require a signature, your address and your SCA number. Ergo, you have to sign in person. Several of us have copies of the petition. Contact to spend five minutes signing.

KeymasterIt is very sad when the Board lives here and is not looking out for the people here and only looking out for themselves. The new manager is really not liked by a lot of people in this community and is certainly not looking out for the people that live here. Everything she does is costing us more money. We are spending so much on decorating and people working here. Is this all necessary at once? I never heard of giving the kinds of salaries we are giving to these people anywhere else.

ParticipantFor those of us that missed the BOD meeting, is there a place to go to sign the recall petition?

KeymasterAs the recall and petitions pick up steam, just read on Anthem Opinions the names of contacts so that you can sign both petitions. The list continues to grow.

ParticipantIt seems to me this recall effort is not getting much publicity or alternatively i simply dont know where to go or who to contact to get additional information on the recall.. can someone point me in the right direction. I likely support the recall but prefer to read it before making a decsion. Thx.
