We have been lied to by Madison Avenue and Hallmark. These are NOT the “Golden Years”! Those over 60 understand that now everything begins falling apart, and it takes longer to do almost everything! It’s as though we are slipping down a slide facing the unknown bottom.
Multitasking used to be so easy. Now, sometimes just “tasking” takes longer. The efficiency we so proudly were able to produce has flown out the window, to where we do not know! Along with that the memory travels with it! It isn’t fair!
We put in our time and should be rewarded, not penalized! Just because we may be retired why have these special skills also retired? Just because we now have more time why can’t they just be filled with what we wanted to do since now we have earned the right, having paid our dues for many years with “have to’s”?
