Rana GoodmanKeymasterHello Big Sky participants.
What follows is Don’s latest NW newsletter.
Things are looking pretty good as we begin 2026. An important consideration regarding video recordings is mentioned by Don for your action.
As before, please pass this newsletter along to your neighbors that do not receive it. Also, please encourage all your neighbors to become Neighborhood Watch participant if they haven’t joined in.
Lastly, for all of my Big Sky block #3 participants who live on Foxtail Creek from 2836 to 2880, we are looking for a new block captain. Please respond to me if you are willing to take over for Toni Wintermute. And a very big THANK YOU to Toni for all her years of service as a block captain and for her outstanding commitment and dedication to maintaining and sustaining our Neighborhood Watch program.

ParticipantSorry folks, but with due respect to “Officer Alex,” as to the yellow highlighted note where it says, “Outdoor electric panel,” and as a 50 year security advisor I must say that any legitimate security system installed by any legal security company will always have battery backup, and that the backup battery will provide all the necessary security for usually a minimum of up to 12/24 hours.
I don’t thnk any burglar is interested in”hanging aroud for at least that long,” do you?
Incidental to the hardware (padlock) which of course I agree with please consider my suggestion to insure the “standby” service your security system should offer.

GARY THOMASParticipantIn a worst case scenario a thief has your car with a ring of keys including your house key. As posted earlier, the car may have your garage door opener. You are allowed to keep a photocopy of your registration in the car and as mentioned you may wish to delete the home address information. This applies to additional documents you leave in the car (insurance, etc.).
My input is to consider your GPS. Many of us have a “Home” button/setting on the GPS that guides us home. On my car I put the home setting to an intersection a block away from my house. Let’s make it hard for a thief who has our car to find our home.
