I “accidently” went to the perspective board meeting on that Sunday afternoon and listened.  While I was most impressed with Nona Tobin (yeaaah for her), I hope we get some intelligence from the others.  I don’t say any of that lightly, but as Ms. Tobin related to us that she had the where with all of real the experience’s related to things we deal with on a daily basis.  And that’s not (again) to say the others can’t, but unfortunately it is a “we’ll see.”

Hopefully the days of Ms Meese’s actions will become a thing of the past, and we won’t see her in any other positions that will affect us, and I mean things like buses, airports, restaurant loans, and outside resources that created committee’s so they board didn’t need to do their job (Carver), oh and how about the IRS tax audit debacle.

So here’s looking at a better future, and not unlike our new government administration that is trying to “clean the swamp,” we have our own issues to deal with and is this a time to say…our relatively new manager with all those INSANE new requirements will hopefully get her act together, or just go away, please.

Congratulations to the new members of the BOD.  Now is the time for them to push up their sleeves and get to work.  The first thing would be to control our out of control GM, Ms. Seddon.  She has done more harm to our community in the past year then any one before her.  SHE WORKS FOR US, NOT FOR HERSELF!  Then, the new BOD needs to examine the new regulations passed as a la ditch effort from the old BOD to stifle the Chartered Clubs.  None of the Clubs had any input into establishing these regulations, instead our great CLC  Chairman Pat  Carrell in her infinite wisdom decided to talk with the Clubs this week…..a little late after the BOD passed them.

I am hoping for a new era in SCA government.  I certainly hope that one of these new members is named President.  We don’t need another term for Rex Weddle.  We need someone that will listen to their fellow residents.  I think Nona would be perfect!
