Long years waiting, wondering where you are,
Looking here, looking there, and looking far,
Will she notice, will she like me, will she want to know,
Where I’ve been forever, or will she thank me and just say no.
I’ve looked for her, in all the places I’ve stood,
I never doubted I’d find her, I always knew I would.
The first time I see her, I’ll think of all the gifts and presents,
That I had ever gotten, couldn’t match being in her presence.
Will she be beautiful, will she have that million dollar smile.
Will she make me want her with a glance, for which I’d walk a mile.
Will I make myself a fool, or do the proper things I should.
Will she be all I hoped for, I always knew she would.
I hope the things we need, will fall in place at last,
And we can move on, and forget the things gone past.
I hope we use our heads, and see the things to avoid,
So life will be so precious, and finally fill the void.
I hope we fit the pieces, and make it something good.
I always hoped we’d meet, and I always knew we would.
