This was just distributed by the SCA Task Force. I have an SCA neighbor who is 85 and cannot get an appointment anywhere for the shot.  I have advised her to contact the health department for assistance. If you are having that problem PLEASE contact them… The link is on this SCA message toward the bottom.

Important Message for Residents with a COVID Vaccine Appointment at SCA

On January 20, the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) announced that demand is temporarily outpacing their supply for the COVID-19 vaccine.

SNHD has assured us that there are enough vaccinations for appointments scheduled January 25 to 31 at Sun City Anthem. At this time we are only vaccinating Nevadans 70 years or older, per the Nevada COVID-19 Playbook (v. 3). You must have photo identification showing proof of age.

Unfortunately, the statewide vaccine shortage necessitates the postponement of vaccine appointments scheduled for February 1 to 13 at Sun City Anthem. When SNHD is able to provide more vaccines, City of Henderson staff will contact you by email to reschedule your vaccination appointment.

If you made an appointment for the Sun City Anthem location and are under the age of 70, please cancel your appointment by following the instructions found here.

We apologize for the inconvenience and are hopeful that SNHD will be able to provide an adequate supply of vaccines soon.
