Rana GoodmanKeymasterAbout a month ago (the end of 2024) /I sent a letter to Henderson City Council regarding the traffic issue on Anthem Parkway. It is just a matter of time I fear before we see some deadly accidents up here since each day, when heading out of my village from Wild Iris & Anthem Pkwy, across from Salara Moon, I watch as I wait to merge onto Anthem Pkwy., as cars zoom past at amazing speeds.
Please read the city’s reply, I’d love to hear your thoughts and/or ideas on what we residents can do.
Dear Rana Goodman,
Thank you for reaching out with your concerns regarding the intersections of Anthem Parkway. The City’s stance remains the same on the Anthem loop. Our Public Works Department traffic engineers have conducted thorough studies of the area and will continue to do so moving forward. While we understand the desire for immediate solutions, signals are not warranted at this time based on our findings. Additionally, implementing stop signs is even less desired due to safety and efficiency concerns.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we continue to evaluate the best possible solutions for our community’s traffic issues.
Please know your comments have been shared with the Mayor and Council. They value the input of our community members and want to ensure that all voices are heard.
Sincerely,

Henderson, NV 89015Original Request Several of my neighbors and I request an item be added to the next city council meeting so we may attend and speak to the issue. We have a specific traffic issue regarding the several intersections of Anthem Parkway and would like to request a 4 way stop sign on several of them. An “S” island will not work and we have been told by our council man that a signal will take at least 2 years. We have also been told the city is moving forward with this problem without any resident from the Sun City Anthem or Solara having the opportunity to speak and we don’t believe that to be fair.
