AN OPEN INVITATION
Today I listened to the BOD meeting and apparently Mr. Anderson and especially Mr. Perlstein, publicly took great exception to some of my comments and assertions. They quoted them.
I stand behind what I have said. Mr. Perlstein thinks I come out from under a rock and hide behind a keyboard and asks me to leave the community (and he will help me pack and move) since he believes I am a coward and won’t come before them.
Well as witnessed today with the 2-minute time limit and the power to cut off the speaker, why would anyone with legitimate grievances think appearing would be a good idea?
Here’s an open invitation to Mr. Perlstein. Meet with me over lunch and/or coffee….my dime as I would like to have the opportunity to have a civil conversation…a civil exchange without you controlling the clock except perhaps say max 90 minutes.
We can each bring one person to witness. I’ll buy for them too. And if we both come to the meeting with intellectual honesty and a willingness to check the facts as articulated by the other, acknowledging when the other is correct perhaps, we can find common ground.
I have been before the board with you present and it was a stacked deck. I won’t do that again. But I will come to meet with you. You know how to reach me.
