SCA Residents,
Thanks to all of the SCA residents who voted, no matter who they voted for. We all live here and have our different views of what is important. What is really key is to determine which candidates support your views as to how this community needs to be run in the future and to vote for them.
I also want to thank those that helped support me in my successful bid to be re-elected. Without your help, I’d just be another name on the ballot.
I promise you all to continue trying to keep this a community that we can be proud to live in with all the amenities that we need to be happy. At the same time, I will always consider the cost of these efforts and pledge to apply the need vs. longevity vs, initial cost tradeoff on every expenditure.
The loss of two of our valued colleagues, Wendy and Paul, on the Board is saddening. I wish them the best for their futures. The addition of Bruce Stanley, who I worked with on the Facilities and Landscaping Committee, will be a great gain for the community.
Pam Williams, while relatively new to the community, has a strong background that will fit well on the Board. Her perspectives on the Villas will engender valuable discussion on that topic.
Rick Ernest, a 20 year resident, with a strong construction background, will be a great help in solving many problems, both big and small. I look forward to watching all their development as they learn the complexities of managing what is a small city.
Again, thank you all for voting and additional thanks for those of you who supported me.
Barry
