A Day to Remember!
I’m sure, like most of you, I will never forget turning on the morning news on September 11 so many years ago and standing with my mouth open as I watched a plane crashing into the World trade Center……. Hearing the news commentator reporting that nightmare happening across the country in NY city.
I ran across the hallway to the guest room where my best friend Jenny was visiting and woke her yelling, “get up, get up, you won’t believe what is happening”!
As we both ran back to the TV, standing there with our mouths gaping, hearts pounding as we watched a sight that most Americans would never, in their wildest dreams imagine happening in this country.
I have tried to always post this tragic attack in honor of all of those people killed that day, especially the amazing passengers who tried to fight to save themselves and their fellow passengers on the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania killing all aboard.
I hope our flags will be at half-mast in their honor all over the United States so that everyone, will always honor them too. I’m hoping all of our schools also have what happened on this day 25 years ago taught to our children and all future generations to follow……. To quote a favorite politician of mine from long ago, “it is a day that will live in infamy”!
