In a worst case scenario a thief has your car with a ring of keys including your house key. As posted earlier, the car may have your garage door opener. You are allowed to keep a photocopy of your registration in the car and as mentioned you may wish to delete the home address information. This applies to additional documents you leave in the car (insurance, etc.).
My input is to consider your GPS. Many of us have a “Home” button/setting on the GPS that guides us home. On my car I put the home setting to an intersection a block away from my house. Let’s make it hard for a thief who has our car to find our home.
