Should a candidate for the board state that they’re willing to confirm that they would not use their business to benefit themselves financially through any of the amenities in Sun City? Specifically, someone who has a business providing entertainment that has already provided entertainment for MC caterers in the past? Michelle Sharples stated at the restaurant town hall that she stepped back from the vote on which company to bring in as a potential tenant for the restaurant space because of her prior association with MC. Certainly, if she did that as a member of a committee then as a board member, she should not be enriched by providing entertainment for any catered events or in the restaurant space. That of course, would include herself, her husband and her business.
