Marcia, thanks for posting about our event Friday night. I have had nothing but raves from attendees about the food and entertainment and decorations.
We were pleased to offer for the first time a Vegetarian plate as a choice. I have been told by those that made this choice that Chef Brick at Buckman’s made a delicious meal. We will be offering this selection from now on at our Holiday Gala.
In addition, for the first time, we honored our Christian and Jewish friends in the decorations. Our holiest of holidays both fall on December 25 this year and we were thrilled to be able to incorporate both in the table settings and Christmas tree with decorations of the Jewish faith. At future galas, we will again honor both faiths, no matter what day they fall on in December.
We hope that all of you will join the SCA Entertainment club in 2017. We offer you a year of fun and entertainment for only $10. For that $10 you save on every show we produce during the year and you may join us at our meetings and offer your suggestions for professional entertainment you would like throughout the year. We meet on the first Monday of the month. Now that Liberty Center has reopened we hope to go back there for our meetings but a notice will be sent out every month with the location. You can find the member form on our website SCAEC.ORG
On a personal note, I am thrilled to tell you that I did find my diamond bracelet in a corner by one of the lobby doors. Thank all of you there that helped me look for it. I go tomorrow to my jeweler to have the clasp repaired!
I would also like to publicly thank my Board of Directors for everything they did to make this evening a great success and guiding me as President when I unexpectedly was dropped into that position in September. I will also be serving as President in 2017. Our new board will be myself, Vice President Rana Goodman, Treasurer Marcia Kosterka, Secretary Pamela Patomson Winger . My thanks also go to Jim Sargent our outgoing Secretary.
