With all the problems being encountered using self-management in our community, and hearing the same tiresome echo from those who are blind to improvements and incorporating homeowners into the decision making process that severely affects them, I decided to look up where we rank nation-wide for for the year 2016. So much for living in paradise!!!

3. Sun Lakes Country Club – Banning, CA

Isn’t it interesting that Sun City Anthem is not on this list? After all, we have wonderful amenities, golf courses, clubs with beautiful landscaping and homes. I read the Proudfit list of homes for sale here every month when it comes in our Spirit magazine and other lists that come in the mail from other brokers. How many of those homes have been on the market for a year or more? Could it be that we have a reputation for being the worst run over 55 community around? Or, that we have an arrogant and uncommunicating board of directors, or a general manager who wants to be queen of all she surveys? Just asking.

I didn’t see an update on this. Sun City Anthem was rated among the top 5 for 55+ clubhouses on June 17th, 2017.
